so today in class we kept watching a video about china because china has lot of people this means  they have less people that have jobs and this creates labor they will do labor jobs cheep ($2-$3). This means a lot of companies ship there jobs over seas because they can make lots of money also they will do things like go though old broken buildings and collect the things that they can sell and reuse but Americans wont do that we just dump it all in a dump or a landfill. this is becoming a problem because more and more people are getting laid of and its like a ripple effect if more people lose jobs they will not spend money at other stores so that store is making less money so they lay of more people and its a chain reaction.

today in class we talked about the new speaker that might come and how we have to ask him question and we get points if we do but i cant think of any questions like at all its so hard maybe it would be easier if i hear him tell about his story. o well. still have not gotten back essay the 200 point one kinda scared. but we talked about how china is getting all the  jobs and we are sending jobs over seas you would figure the government would just cut off sending jobs over there o well. that was class

Declared independence on July 4, 1776

Israel

Israel became an independent state on May 14, 1948

Following World War Two, the newly-formed United Nations drafted a treaty dividing up some of Palestine's land.  They established an independent Arab state and an independent Jewish state.  Many Jews emigrated to the new nation of Israel post WWII.  Creation of this new Jewish state was not universally accepted by Arabs, even though Israel was officially admitted to the UN on May 11, 1949.  There is still controversy surrounding Israel's very existence in the Middle East.

China

China's official date of independence is October 1, 1949.

China is one of the world's oldest civilizations.  As long ago as 221 BC, China was unified as a nation during the Qin dynasty.  They formed a republic on January 1, 1912.  The current Communist government, officially called the People's Republic of China, was formed in 1949.  

Germany

On January 18, 1871, Otto von Bismarck, the Minister-President of Prussia, unified independent German states into a nation-state.

Germanic tribes moved further south-west.They were ruled by the Saxons and Slavs.

India

 India became an independent nation in 1947 after a struggle for independence that was marked by non-violent resistance led by Mahatma Gandhi.

Buddha was central to the beginnings of recorded history in 

India.

Mexico 

declared independence September 16, 1810

 the oldest things in Mexico are stone tools that are 23,000 years ago. Its oldest people are the Aztec.

 Before they became independent they were captured by the Spanish Hernán Cortés he arrived at the port in Veracruz with ca. 500 conquistadores, and later moved on to the Aztec capital. On his search for gold and other riches, Cortés decided to invade and conquer the Aztec empire killing thousands of people. 

They were subjects to Spain.

Saudi Arabia 
has never been colonized, so the independence day is actually the day when the kingdom was created, which celebrated in 23 of September. Apart from a small number of urban trading settlements, such as Mecca and Medina, located in the Hejaz in the west of the Arabian Peninsula, most of what was to become Saudi Arabia was populated by nomadic tribal societies in the inhospitable desert. They have been subjects of another country. A communist party was formed in 1975

so today in class we got another pop quiz back i did much better on this one like 86 or something like that but yeah other then that we didn't learn much we looked over are answers and we talked about how everyone use to practice in case of a bomb strike and how mustered gas was moved from APG and who owns nukes. yeah normal day in class

Today in class i got my quiz back and i did not do amazing and im so sad because i did not do good and i should have done better but im so dumb i left one blank and i got Afghanistan wrong and i should have got that one right o well. In class we were tossing a glob around and you had to find a country and i never got to do it witch stinks o well and jake could not do it. i will never leave one blank ever again.

today in class we got in formed that we have a test on  Wednesday and that we need to come up with question to be on the test so the first question I have to give is we should have to the list the religions in order to when they were founded. another question could be why did god stop him from killing his son and why did god ask to him to kill his son. my third question is that  when was Jesus born (trick question). he was born in the spring. (Not on December 25) who were the first to land on america another trick question its the vikings and there are some of my questions that I think should be on the next test for human geo. :)

Today in class we took notes on Ethnic Heritage and a little bit of religion.
Ethnic Heritage is were you have two groups of people in one country. A lot of times this can led to war in example of this is in Sudan you have the Muslims and the black Christians and this led to war and fighting over land and oil and the Muslims started killing the Christians. Religion can be both unifying and dis unifying force. (Most wars are fought over religion.)
After talking about that we started talking about  religion and about how Jesus could have been married and how he could have had brothers or half brothers. The only thing is, is that we will never know. We also talked about who spread Christianity more then Jesus and that was probably saw/Paul. At first Paul use to kill Christians but then one day when he was on his horse/maul animal god asked him why he was killing all of this people and god made him blind. So then Paul started begging and telling god that he would stop so god made him able to see again and he started preaching Christianity and telling people about his story and like writing letters to people and he is arguably the one who spread Christianity the most.
 

Today in class we had a sub and he made us do this....

Christianity started at around 30 AD. Christianity is a monotheistic religion which means they believe in one god. Christianity holy book is called the Bible and is usually made up of 66 books combining the sacred Scriptures of both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Christianity has around 1.3 billion followers. Jesus is the central figure of this religion.
Christianity is practiced mostly in the Americas (North and South America), followed by Russia, Europe and Australia.

Judaism

 

 Tradition holds that Judaism was founded by Abraham in the land of Israel, about 3800 years

 

ago. Archaeological evidence of Jews (Hebrews) in the land of Israel dates back 3600 years.

 

Judaism is a monotheistic religion. The Hebrew Scriptures, referred to by Christians as the Old

 

Testament, are called the TANAKH. In 2010, the world Jewish population was estimated at 13.4

 

million, or roughly 0.2% of the total world population. About 42% of all Jews reside in Israel

 

and about 42% reside in the United States and Canada, with most of the remainder living in

 

Europe.

 

 

                Islam

 

It was founded in 622 CE by Muhammad. Islam is a monotheistic religion. There holy

 

book is the Quran. There is about 1.6 to 1.7 billion followers. The central person for this

 

religion is Muhammad.  The geography is the middle east.

 

           

            Buddhism

 

It was founded in 460 B.C. It has 350–500 million followers. Buddhism is a monotheistic

 

religion. It clams about 550 million followers and it mostly in Asia.

 

            Hinduism

 

            Hinduism was founded in 1500-500 BC in India. It is a polytheistic religion. They have

several holy books,  this religion has around 1 billion followers.

 

The central figures in Hinduism are there gods and there is more than one and it’s in Asia.

 

So today in class we took notes from a power point about culture differences.

The three examples are religion languages and ethnic heritage. I learned that many countries   not everyone speaks the same language and I also learned that in 1984 america did not do the Olympics cause it was in Russia and I thought that was dumb that should not have happened.

                                                                                  

Today in class we went over our power point and someone in my group said the Europeans did not come over to america to take the land and well that is the exact reason i mean at first they were trying to fin another way to india and then they found america and it is really easy to concur  so thats what they did. another thing that bothered me is when some one said that the Europeans were the first to discover America and there wrong the vikings were the first just the did not stay they saw nothing here and left. a truthfully they weren't even the first to discover it people from asia a long time migrated over and thats how we got the native Americans.

Today in class we went over the test we took I did not do that well but I still Spelled Pittsburgh right.
After that we started talking about chris columbus he sailed the ocean blue in 1492 but the vikings came here first and they landed in the candan area. they were not the first to stay. we had to break out in groups and talk about are people i got the questtion of how they found this place and they were trying to find a way to get to inda fast and they discovered somthing else

Today in clas we had a test it was not hard it was on the movie that we watched i think i did okay. i know i spelled the citys wrong but other then than we did nothing else

Today in class we talked about what we did wrong on the google doc. then we talked about how it

would take $6,000 to get john bul doa to come to are school and talk to us but we might try ot get

panther. we also talked about what websites where good and bad for donating mr schick told us that

even if 88% of the money goes to the cause its still good. would have never guessed that. I liked the
women for women wesite same with the red cross but others liked the panther foundation witch is

realy good too.

Today in class we did this experiment where everyone could right on the same blog. I thought this

 

would be a good idea who was wrong umm me. It was a very bad idea everyone started deleting

 

each other post and writing names on others peoples but we did get a lot of info I found the women

 

for women program they give food water and other supplies to the women in southern Sudan. We

 

also found the red cross program witch is amazing and I really like it.   And there are a lot of programs

 

that give laptops to the people in Africa so they can learn.

Today in class we finished up the movie. It was aa very good movie makes me wanna help. But we

were talking and what could you do to help there is really nothing we could do. sending money

wouldnt help food wouldnt really help all we could do is send troops and were all ready in a bunch of

bigger things and it wouldnt help. John bul Doa thinks diffrently he keeps fighting trying to help and

he has done a better job at it then anyboady else. panther wants to go back and open a school and

teach the kids of sudan. John Bul Doa is opening a hostible/ medical place. The are all trying to help

out the country "Sudan" more then anyone there giving them all of there money and they have littlr

trying to help and thats whats so insprational about this.

Today in class we watched some more of the movie it was really funny watching these people who

came from nothing go to some great places like new york and try to live the government is providing

them with shelter and food and money for 3 monthes after that there on there own and i was

wounding who is going to give them a decent job that could pay for everything they need when they

are rubbing shving cream as soap.

Today in class we got are test back i got an 82 on it witch is not bad but i feel like i could have done

better. We went over the test and what we got wrong on of the ones that i got wrong was what

country has the most immagrents coming in to there country usa mexico or canda i put usa but it was

canda after that we tryed to watch the reat of the movie but we didnt finish it.

Today in class we had  a test i think i did good it wasnt that hard but i dont know. After are test we

watched a movie it was really interesting to watch and these people kids basicly walked and walked

for miles for like 5 years to get away from this war and some of them are going to america and think

ny is like a country it amazing.

Today in class we walked in and he told us a little bit more about this test on friday. Then we all took

so time to email mr schick powerpoints and other things of that sort. My group still had to finsh our

power point but we finshed it. Then every one started to showed the class our power point but we got
cut off by the bell and thats what we did in class to day. I also learned that doorie talks with her hands

alot.

Today in class i learned Thoughts become words,words become actions, actions become habits,

habits become character, and character becomes destiny. we also worked on are power point i got

India. It was pretty esay. we talked about are test on friday, and that we had to learnThoughts become

Today Mr Schick told us that class was going to be really boaring. It was -_-  we took notes the

whole class. He told us we were going to to have a test soon on the notes. We talked aout birth rates

and population increasing and decreasing. After that doorie told us about this song and we played it

and it was so funny but you couldnt understand him. It was a fine day of human geo class.

Today in classes we finshed talking about the 25 questions we had for class . Then Mr Schick told us

about sexual drives. after that we watched a video and we had to pick to things that i think where

interesting about it I choose how there are more india honor students then us has students. I pick that

becuase it is important to india i think think it should be important to us. The other one I picked was

how they are currently preparing stuudents for jobs that dont exist yet. I think thats important because

that will be the jobs out there and you have to be prepared for it. thats what we did in human geo.
